Here you are able to apply as an audience member (as of January 2016), an artistic performer, or a speaker for future events (as the speaker application deadline has now past). You will also be able to receive general news updates about TEDxStrijp, and should you wish to watch the event from the comfort of your own home, the TEDxStrijp livestream will be posted here, as will the speeches following the event.

Are making speeches not your forte, but you want to perform at TEDxStrijp anyway?

Fear not! This half-day event will be broken up by a range of artistic performances. If you’re a talented singer, dancer, magician, or any other form of weird and wonderful stage performer, then we need you!

It is possible to register as an artistic performer until the end of November 2015. If you’re interested, please email tedxstrijp@gmail.com, with a small description of yourself and your performance skills. On-site auditions will take place in the last week of November 2015, or a video of your performance can be sent to the aforementioned email address.

If you choose to use TEDxStrijp as your artistic platform, then you will receive free entrance to the unique event. We look forward to reading your applications, and seeing your performances soon!

A new school year, a new idea worth sharing?

The organisers of TEDxStrijp were given the chance to attend the Eindhoven Mini Maker Faire at the end of August. Here we met a huge array of talented men and woman, many of whom were more than interested in sharing their hobbies and interests through a TED talk. This sparked a fascinating discussion about making the most of the things that matter to you, and we realised that whilst we had the perfect platform to spread ideas in front of us, it’s the people who make it an unforgettable experience.

Eindhoven Mini Maker Faire

Are you looking for an exciting way to spend your weekend?

The organisers of TEDx Strijp have been given the chance to spend a few hours this weekend at the Eindhoven Mini Maker Faire (http://www.eindhovenmakerfaire.nl). This event, taking place near The HUB (VDMA, Vestdijk 27 Eindhoven), provides an excellent opportunity for us to share our event with some of the most creative brains in the area.

The Eindhoven Mini Maker Faire is two days full of inspiring fun for anyone: there will be several workshops and demonstrations, chances to experience virtual realities, opportunities to work with very modern technology such as 3D printing and drones, and even the possibility of creating little robots!

We hope to see you there too!

Do you feel you have an idea brewing, but you’re just not sure what it is yet?

Don’t worry, many people face this problem! And that’s why, we thought we’d give you a few suggestions. As you know, the theme of this inspiring event is Reconciling the Future, meaning that it is centred around preparing to meet the challenges that the world will throw at us in the years to come. It is our responsibility as mankind to share the ideas that are within us, with one another, and be ready to face whatever the future holds, unified.

A speech at TEDxStrijp could be centred around sharing your knowledge of scientific changes and developments, artificial intelligence, conflicts, global ethical debates, poverty, or technology. Of course, the general theme engulfs much more than this, and we know you have relevant ideas worth sharing within you.

Together, we can be part of something phenomenal.
